Work it Girl...Making Jewelry Work For You!

Did you know that you should be

considering your body and face shapes

Maximize the overall impact

of your accessories and

make your jewelry work for you

by keeping in mind the

following tips

Round Shaped Face and/or Plus Size Women

Choose earrings in shapes other than round to provide contrast

Choose geometric shapes such as

rectangles, squares, oblong and dangling designs

Avoid small button earrings

Choose long necklaces that lay below the breast line

to draw the eye vertically

and make a full-figure appear slimmer and

also to lengthen a round shaped face

Larger stones and thicker chains are preferable

for a full-figured frame

Thin, Rectangular or Square Shaped Face

Choose earrings with rounded designs or hoops

Wide styles diminish the length of a rectangular face

Choose chokers and U-shaped necklaces

if your face is rectangular shaped

and long necklaces if your face shape is square

Heart Shaped Face

Choose earrings with a wide-bottomed design

to soften the look of a pointed chin

Choose chokers and U-shaped necklaces

Oval Face Shape/Average Frame & Height (5’4” – 5’7”)

Lucky you, you can wear any type of earrings such as

button, hoop, triangular, dangle and round earrings

but angular shapes add definite contrast

Lucky you, you can wear any style of necklace

Tall Women (over 5’7”)

Choose long, dangly earrings

Choose any style of necklace

Chokers help de-emphasize height

Short Women (5’4” and under)

Upswept styles such as

seashells or wings draw the eye upwards

and make a short woman appear taller

Collar length or longer necklaces

worn below the bust but above the waist

add visual length to a short frame

Very interesting!!! I usually just pick stuff based on color and if it's in my price range! :-)
