Online Shopping ~ Understanding Shipping

Unique Mailbox by DavidScottGallery

Do you get just a bit irritated by paying the cost of

shipping and handling when you make an online

purchase? If so, you are not alone.

I can't make it go away but maybe I can help you see it in

a new persepective.

I'm a very busy person and, like most of us, my time is a

very valuable commodity.

In this instance the phrase "Time is money" is true.

Online shopping has brought a whole new dimension

to  shopping for us.

Now we can sit at our computers and shop and make

purchases with just a few key strokes.

If you are from a smaller center, like myself, shopping is

limited, so we can bring a whole new

shopping experience within our grasp by

shopping online on sites such as Etsy.

If you are from a larger area, by shopping online you can

avoid the time and inconvenience of travelling to a

shopping center as well you are virtually eliminating your

parking expenses.

As you can see there are many advantages of online

When you think about the time and money saved by

staying at home and then begin to think of that in

terms of a monetary value, then you might just begin to

agree that spending a bit of money on

shipping/handing charges may not be all that

unreasonable and may be well worth the cost.

In general, shipping refers to the

postal fees and generally handling refers to the cost of

the packaging materials.

Having said all that, the shipping/handling a seller

charges should be reasonable with respect to the size and

weight of the item you are having shipped.

I hope that this puts a new perspective on your thinking

when it comes to paying shipping/handling fees for your

online purchases and encourages you to give it a try if

you haven't tried online shopping yet!

Has this given you a new perspective?

Happy Shopping!
