I read a blog post by my friend, Jacqueline Gikow that outlined characteristics of successful entrepeneurs
Dream
Success starts with a dream. The dream is a clear vision of what you want to achieve and a plan of how you are going to get to your goal.
Passion
Be passionate about what you do because success comes more easily if you love what you do and pursue it relentlessly.
Focus
Identify your strengths and weaknesses. Focus on your strengths and strive to develop your weaknesses.
Never Entertain Failure
Believe in yourself and believe that you can achieve the dream you set before you.
Plan
Create smaller goals that you put into writing that will take you step by step towards your vision
Work Hard
Understand that to achieve your vision will take hard work. Commit yourself to the task of building your dream.
Network
Form alliances with others who may be able to help you or that you may be able to help.
Never Stop Learning
Always be willing to learn so that you can reach your full potential.
Perseverance
Have faith in yourself and don’t let a minor setback cause you to stumble and falter. Get back up and move on.
Discipline
Discipline yourself work. Commit yourself and your time to be able to realize your dream.
