Since I discovered Etsy 2 years ago,
I have made it a point
to try to purchase
from these handmade artists whenever possible.
It has been an extremely positive
experience for me.
I wish I could show you the gifts I have bought for my loved ones
so far this Christmas, but for obvious reasons I can't
(I purchased this last year for my granddaughter's first Christmas
and had her name and date of birth painted onto the heart)
I have found such unique items on Etsy and am glad that I have chosen to
help support these handmade artists instead of the big box stores. The quality of
workmanship has exceeded my expectations as these
artisans do not
mass produce and they take time to ensure the quality of their
goods.
They know that their business will not survive without
a
high level of quality and customer service.
I consider it a win win situation. I help them
by purchasing and in return I get fabulous products.
(I purchased these for last year as a gift for a friend)
It is convenient for shoppers to be able to read feedback
from others
who have purchased from a seller.This enables them to get an idea
before
they make a purchase how others have felt about their purchase and
the customer service they received from the seller.

It is also nice to be able to have an email conversation
with the person
who is the actual “maker” of the products. Frequently I have
requested
different colors or styles of particular items and my requests have
always been met with enthusiasm and a willingness to make sure that
I get exactly
what I am requesting. The fact is that you just can’t get
that kind of service from most retail
stores!
May I suggest to you, that if you haven't shopped
Etsy before,
that you give it a try.
There's no better time than now to
shop for a special Christmas gift
for that special someone on your list.
